CHRIST LIVES IN ME

Galatians 2:20 Common English Bible (CEB)

20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live in my body, I live by faith, indeed, by the faithfulness of God’s Son, who loved me and gave himself for me.

That old ego self was crucified with Christ and so "I no longer live." Life has ceased to be "all about me." Christ is now on the throne. He lives in me, i.e., He is in charge of my life and I seek to reflect His image and follow in His footsteps of loving service in every possible way. This life is one of faith and that faith is not founded on human will power but rather upon "the faithfulness of God's Son." HE IS FAITHFUL which means He can be depended upon at ALL times and in ALL circumstances. Our being faithful to Him is often emphasized so much that it can lead us to look to ourselves and how well we are doing instead of to the faithfulness of the Savior and realizing that we "have been crucified with Christ." Yes, we must be committed in our dedication to living for HIM but if we are constantly looking at ourselves and measuring our progress we shall become discouraged. IN JESUS WE ARE PERFECT AT EVERY STEP even though we may often stumble and fall. We are the very righteousness of God in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:21). Thank God for such wonderful assurance and encouragement! Everything both for this life and that which is to come has been provided for us. Let us arise, leave Egyptian bondage, and enter the promised land of abundant life in Christ. There is nothing we could ever experience that equals the "unspeakable gift" that God has given to us through His grace (see 2 Corinthians 9:15 KJV).

Jesus is indeed the Savior of the whole world but only few seem to really enter into His rest and find love, joy, and peace.  Let us be faithful in lifting Him up in thought, word, and in the way we treat others.
