GOD'S CALLING FOR YOUR LIFE

Jeremiah 1:5 Common English Bible (CEB)
5 “Before I created you in the womb I knew you;
before you were born I set you apart;
I made you a prophet to the nations.”
Galatians 1:15-16 New Living Translation (NLT)
15 But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him to reveal his Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles. When this happened, I did not rush out to consult with any human being.
I believe God has a purpose for each of us and it is well for us to seek His face and His will for us individually. Whatever He has for us to do we shall indeed be empowered to do. As we follow His plan for our life we shall not only experience peace and joy ourselves but we shall bring this joy and peace to others. Sometimes our calling may bring us to a place of great trial but in the midst of all of this we will find a deep and abiding peace as we follow God's will for us. The prophet Jeremiah and the apostle Paul had quite different ministries, lived centuries apart in time, and experienced great persecution many times. So the calling that each of us have is not exactly the same as that of anyone else nor should we try to copy someone else. Each of us is a unique expression of God's love as spiritual beings in His image and likeness. Look at the varieties of expression among the Bible writers. We are greatly blessed today as we read their inspired writings and apply the eternal principles of truth to our own life situation. Isaiah's response to God's calling for his life was "Here I am. Send me" (Isaiah 6:8). May this also be our response. Responding with all of our heart to God's purpose for our life is the very best that any of us can do.
