DWELL ON GOD'S PERFECT CREATION
God didn't create sin, disease, death, suffering, pain or old age but they came through Adam's sin (1 Corinthians 15:21). Humankind was created in God's image and likeness and everything that God created was perfect and totally good (Genesis 1:26-31). To keep dwelling on those things that are NOT of God's creation, even in a joking way, is to bring them more into manifestation in our experience. I've noticed so many people obsessed with talking a lot about getting old. When I'm with people who do this I do not participate in the conversation even in the slightest degree. I knew a man some years ago that kept talking about how old he was getting and the last time I saw him he would have been around 48 and he looked like a shriveled up old man and he was standing there still talking about getting old. Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Let's not choose "hell" by dwelling on the "tares" that the enemy has sown (Matthew 13:38-39). Paul gives wonderful counsel of what to dwell on but the ego finds delight in feeding on garbage (Philippians 4:8). We must make choices everyday between Heaven and hell--"therefore choose life" (Deuteronomy 30:19).

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS
We are all in the process of enlightenment (spiritual regeneration) and are at various levels. Yes, most Christians along with the general population, very frequently dwell on getting old, sicknesses, their medical issues, etc. In my opinion this is analogous to "shooting yourself in the foot." When we see that God didn't create aging, sickness, death or sin we won't keep talking about them anymore. Why glorify that which is NOT of God? This revelation comes to us gradually like the sun rising in the morning and setting at night. I don't contradict people when they have these kinds of conversations but do NOT participate in them, agree, nor allow myself to get dragged down into the muck. If someone personally tries to get me involved I will find some kindly way to let them know that I don't wish to talk about such and sometimes will remind them that since God didn't create aging and sickness I prefer not to talk about them and at times when I've done this I've received appreciation because, after all, it does make sense when you stop to think about it. Sometimes I've also pointed out that the cells of our body respond negatively or positively to our words and thoughts and WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL because we are are setting ourselves up for suffering often by what we say and think.
