THE UNSEEN REALITY OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
By Thomas E. Durst
2 Corinthians 4:18 (New International Version)
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
"Every age, every generation has its built-in assumptions--that the world is flat, that the world is round. There are hundreds of hidden assumptions, things we take for granted that may or may not be true. In the vast majority of cases, these conceptions about reality--which belong to the prevailing paradigm or worldview--aren't accurate. So if history's any guide, much that we take for granted about the world today simply isn't true." John Hagelin, PhD. I think that there are probably many things taken for granted today that will prove to be untrue and unless we are firmly grounded in the unseen reality of the Kingdom of Heaven we shall be "shaken" when some of our assumptions prove to be inadequate. It is best to "stay tuned" to God's Kingdom and then we have something that is absolute and unchangeable. So called science keeps changing all of the time and what is considered science today may well be considered unscientific tomorrow.
