WHAT FEAR DOES TO US
"What I always feared has happened to me.
What I dreaded has come true.
I have no peace, no quietness.
I have no rest; only trouble comes.”--Job 3:25-26 (NLT)
"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. . . .”—Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)
I hear conversations constantly about morbid things like the sicknesses and disabilities that people are fearing or in some cases actually anticipating to happen at some point “as they age.” I have a friend many years younger than myself who fully expects to be in an “assisted living” facility at some point. These sick images held in mind will indeed produce after their kind. They become self-fulfilling prophecies. In some cases I think these images are implanted on a subconscious level by the generally held beliefs of society but nevertheless they will be imprinted in our personal consciousness UNLESS we fortify our minds with God and His allness—who is above all, through all, and in all or simply ALL-IN-ALL—the only power in reality (see Deuteronomy 4:35; Isaiah 45:6, 14, 18, 21; Ephesians 4:6; 6:10) Those who accept these dark images into their thought have no peace, quietness, or rest but continually live in a state of fear, experiencing life according to their anxieties and expectations. God has a much better plan for His children of the Kingdom (see Psalm 91; Isaiah 41:10; Matthew 11:28-30; Luke 12:32; John 14:27; Philippians 4:8; Hebrews 4:9-11; 2 Timothy 1:7). Please take time to read all of the Bible verses referred to and pray earnestly that your eyes will be opened to see the truth of the allness of God more than ever before.
“It is not presumptuous for us to understand that each one of us, in his true nature, belongs to God, and for that reason, we should understand that divine Love not only provides for us and sustains us, but cannot do otherwise.”—Bicknell Young
