LOVE IS TO BE DISCOVERED If we try to codify or explain love we kill it. Love is discovered as it is expressed and can't be learned from reading books, hearing sermons, or anything else in the realm of the intellect. As we move forward in the love of God under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we experience increasingly more of what love is really all about (see Romans 5:5). Since God IS love and He is Infinite, love will continue to blossom and grow throughout all eternity (see 1 Kings 8:27; Psalm 145:3; 147:5; Isaiah 9:7; Luke 1:33; Ephesians 3:21; 1 John 4:8; Revelation 1:8; 4:8). Love knows no boundaries and breaks down walls of hostility (see Acts 10:34-38; Ephesians 2:14). It is pure and unconditional in its ultimate expression. That kind of love was freely poured out on the undeserving human race in the gift of God’s Son (see John 3:16-17; Romans 5:8; 1 Timothy 1:15). In the absence of love, walls of judgment and separation are built and war in some form comes as a result. As love grows it could be compared to rivers of living water that bless all who will receive (see John 7:37-39). May we all jump into that wonderful river of God’s love.
