LOOK BENEATH THE SURFACE “Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly.”—John 7:24 (NLT)
"Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.”—2 Corinthians 5:16 (NKJV)
We need to always remember that what we perceive with the physical senses is never really the truth about either the people or our environment. We interpret and judge everything in accordance with our state of consciousness. God’s true spiritual creation is always good but our physical senses block us from seeing it (Genesis 1:31). As we grow in the process of spiritual illumination we move beyond merely our physical senses and begin to see a depth in people and in everything around us such as we could never have imagined possible. This is living the abundant life that Jesus spoke of (John 10:10). Such a life is possible for everyone but very few ever find it (Matthew 7:13-14).
